As part of the international exercise Lightning VI, the United States continues to offer and promote its Lockheed Martin F-16 fighter aircraft, in particular the F-16C / D Block 50, to the Colombian Air Force (FAC). These aircraft make up the combat squadron that is in the South American country during these weeks.
Despite the recent announcements by the Colombian Government to suspend indefinitely the renewal process of its fleet of air superiority aircraft, the models that make up the short list derived from this project continue to be of interest to the FAC, which is why they also continue being offered – in different modalities and prices – by the companies and governments that participate in this prolonged process.
